The Actaeon Tide by writer, surfer and friend Tom Anderson. It's set mostly in South Wales and the protagonist earns his money as a private investigator in order to fund his time surfing. But his life is turned upside down when a client ends up dead. The book is an excellent thriller bringing together ancient myth and psychological tension all set against the backdrop of the rise and fall of the tide. Whilst it may well appeal to fans of other surf writers, it should also have a wider appeal beyond surfing and to all those who enjoy a cracking yarn well told. Move over Kem Nunn and Tim Winton, Tom Anderson is the new kid on the block for surf novels! You can buy a copy of the book at Amazon.co.uk.
